La mélatonine, naturellement présente dans l’organisme, est aussi dénommée « hormone du sommeil ». Elle
participe à la régulation des rythmes chronobiologiques et favorise l’endormissement. Lorsque la sécrétion de
mélatonine est perturbée (lumière artificielle, décalage horaire, âge…), les rythmes circadiens sont modifiés et nos
cycles de sommeil se décalent ou raccourcissent. Le sommeil est alors perturbé et notre forme s’en ressent
